Text Box: GSSO -

Our Gillette Style Seating Orthosis is modeled after the Gillette Seating Orthosis™ that was developed in Minneapolis, Minnesota at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. It is produced from a body casting of the patient positioned prone upon a framework that maintains spinal alignment, hip flexion and femur abduction.

The orthosis consists of a custom polypropylene shell, which is partially covered on the support surfaces with pressure sensitive foam and covered in neoprene and vinyl. The seat and backrests are covered with four layers of Aliplast® that can be easily removed to allow for growth.

The GSSO can be utilized in stroller bases, lightweight manual and tilt-in-space wheelchairs.  Each system comes standard with a Lexan®, or Formica® covered wood, surface tray.  Removable neoprene covers can be machine-washed and air-dried. All materials are latex free.
